Questions buyers ask

What a supplier assessment asks us

RODMENA is sixteen months old. These are the questions a suitability assessment puts to a company that age, with our answers, published so you can read them before you ask.

Can you provide two references for contracts of similar size and scope?

We have no customer references yet.

RODMENA was incorporated in May 2025 and is looking for its first engagements. If your process asks for two references, we cannot give them. You are reading that here, before stage two of your evaluation, because it is going to come up either way.

Here is what we offer in their place, and will put in a contract:

  • A technical session with the engineers who would do the work, before you commit to anything.
  • Access to our own systems as a reference environment. The platforms on this site run this company, and you can inspect them.
  • A paid pilot at a scope you set, with the success test agreed in writing before it starts.
  • Stage payments against delivered milestones, so you are never exposed further than the last thing we handed over.
  • A first contract sized to the accounts we can show.

A first customer gets a supplier with everything to prove and nothing else competing for its attention.

What happens if your director is unavailable?

The systems are the handover.

RODMENA is led by its director, Farshid Ashouri, who is also its sole person with significant control. Engineering is delivered by a bench of contract engineers, and we expect to employ engineers directly as projects become sustainable.

A buyer assessing key-person risk is asking whether the work survives one person being away. What we can evidence is that the operating knowledge is written down as it is produced:

  • Every platform we run documents itself in our knowledge base, which is the system of record for operational documentation across the estate.
  • Every release of every platform is built and recorded by our continuous integration, so a deployment can be reproduced without the person who made it.
  • Every credential is held in Haven, so access does not depend on one laptop.
  • Every commercial record is in Trace, and the books are in Ledger.

That is a smaller answer than a large team, and every line of it is something we can show you on the day.

Can you provide three years of filed accounts?

No. The company is sixteen months old and has one.

RODMENA is funded by its director. There is no external investment and no debt, so there is no investor timetable, no lender, and no third party whose interests sit between us and a customer. It also means the company is not dependent on winning any particular contract to keep operating.

We know one set of accounts is less than a financial standing check usually expects. Where a contract is larger than the accounts support, the routes we can offer are the standard ones:

  • A director’s guarantee.
  • A performance bond.
  • Escrow of source code and deployment material.
  • Stage payments against delivered milestones.
  • A first contract sized to the accounts available, with scope growing as the record does.

Do you use subcontractors, and where are they?

Yes. Delivery is by contract engineers engaged by RODMENA in the UK.

Where a contract requires it, we name every subcontractor who would have access to your systems or your data before the work begins. They are engaged under the same confidentiality and data-protection terms that bind us, and the same access controls.

The third parties that process data on our own estate are listed with their purpose and location in the sub-processor table on the Trust Centre.

Do your staff hold security clearance?

Not at present.

Nobody at RODMENA currently holds BPSS, SC or a DBS check. Where a contract requires clearance, we sponsor and complete it before that work starts, and we say so at bid stage so the timetable is yours to plan around.

If clearance is a condition of participation for your procurement, tell us at the earliest stage and we will confirm whether we can meet the timetable.

What insurance do you hold?

Cover is being arranged and is not yet bound.

Professional indemnity, public liability and cyber cover are being placed: several providers have been approached and quotations are being obtained. Cover is placed to the limits a contract requires and evidenced before signature.

The current status of each policy is published on the Trust Centre, and the insurer, limits and renewal dates appear there as each policy is bound.
