Exit and portability
Leaving should be easy
Buyers need to know they can exit cleanly. Our systems are built on open, standard technology precisely so that you are never locked in.
Your data, in standard formats
- PostgreSQL-native
- Highway stores application data and workflow state in your PostgreSQL database. Exit is a
standard database export (
pg_dump), not a proprietary extraction project. - Open formats
- Exports are provided as SQL, CSV or JSON as appropriate, readable by any competent replacement supplier.
- Your infrastructure
- Where systems run on your own infrastructure, the data never leaves your control in the first place.
Migration and handover support
On termination or expiry we provide an agreed exit plan: final data export, documentation handover, knowledge-transfer sessions with your team or the incoming supplier, and a wind-down of access. The exit period and any assistance days are defined in the contract, typically 30 to 90 days, sized to the engagement.
Deletion certificate
After exit, we delete personal and customer data we hold (or return it, at your choice) and certify deletion in writing on request, in line with our Data Processing Agreement commitments.
