About

Durable platforms and published evidence

RODMENA is a London software company. We build durable platforms that organisations can run, inspect and leave, and publish the evidence that they work.

Story

Background

RODMENA LIMITED was incorporated in London in May 2025 to build durable software platforms: workflow orchestration, sandboxed execution, human-in-the-loop approvals, email, ingress and a double-entry ledger.

Each platform is built from small, single-purpose services, with every concern owned by exactly one tool, on a data tier spread across four hosts in three countries. Applications and data are kept apart: applications can be redeployed, and data must be preserved.

Every certification, policy and figure on this site shows its current status and the date it was last checked.

Principles

What we stand for

  • One tool for each concern

Each concern is owned by exactly one service, and no product reimplements what a house tool already does.

  • No dependence on one machine or region

Applications can be redeployed. Data must be preserved, so every database sits on hosts in three countries, replicated and backed up off-site.

  • Verified claims

We check a system through its own interface, and we only call it ready once it has been exercised.

  • Checks tested against known failures

Every probe is run against a known failure before its clean result is trusted, and every limit is tested in both directions.

  • Current status for every claim

Certifications, insurance and tests are shown as held, in progress or planned, and the site is updated when a status changes.

  • Leaving should be easy

We provide standard exports, a documented handover and deletion certified in writing, on open technology with no lock-in.

Method

How we work

Requirements before code
Every engineering request is written as a testable specification and tracked as a ticket before anything is built. The specification then serves as the acceptance checklist when the work is closed.
Internal audits designed to find faults
An internal team audits our platforms by trying to disprove their claims. It reproduces each finding live, keeps every probe as a runnable check for the next round, and withholds sign-off until the findings are fixed and re-verified.
Verification through the product’s own interface
State is read and corrected only through a product’s API or command line, with no direct reads or writes to its database. Nothing is called ready until it has been exercised.
Statuses kept current
Certifications, insurance, tests and policies are published from one data file with their current status, and the build fails if a figure has not been re-verified within 120 days.

Questions

Common questions

Which certifications does RODMENA hold?

RODMENA LIMITED is certified under the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme for the whole organisation: certificate 00d24b59-7739-4d97-bb66-341ac50ef018, valid until 30 September 2027. It is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (reference ZC202334). ISO/IEC 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus are planned and not yet held. The Trust Centre shows the current status of each and is updated when one changes.

Does RODMENA hold insurance?

Cyber insurance in place. Evidence available on request from security@rodmena.co.uk. Professional indemnity and public liability cover are being arranged: several providers have been approached and quotations are being obtained. Cover is placed to the limits a contract requires and evidenced before signature, and the Trust Centre shows the status of each policy.

Where is data held?

We are UK-based and process data in the United Kingdom by default. The production database tier runs on managed virtual servers in the United Kingdom, France and Germany, with encrypted off-site backups. The sub-processors are listed on the data-processing page.

Who provides support?

Support comes from the engineers who design, build and operate our systems, so you deal directly with the people who can fix a problem. Response commitments are agreed per contract.

Can we leave?

Yes. We provide exports in standard formats, an agreed exit plan with documentation handover and knowledge transfer, and deletion certified in writing on request. Our systems are built on open technology to make leaving easy.
