RODMENA

Single sign-on

RODMENA ID

Sign in once, everywhere.

What it is

The single sign-on service for RODMENA platforms. An application adds a “Sign in with RODMENA ID” button; the user authenticates at identity.rodmena.co.uk and the application receives standard OpenID Connect tokens saying who they are. Applications never integrate with Google or GitHub themselves: Identity does that on everyone’s behalf, so a new provider or multi-factor authentication arrives without a code change.

Who it is for. Product teams that want login handled once, by one issuer, with standard OpenID Connect.

  • OpenID Connect
  • OAuth 2
  • Federated sign-in

What it does

Standard OpenID Connect

Discovery document, standard tokens, nothing proprietary to integrate.

Federation handled for you

Google today, further providers and MFA as they are added, inherited by every application without a code change.

One issuer

One place where people authenticate, one place to secure.

Registration on request

Applications are registered by the identity team; the integration guide says how to ask.
