Environmental Policy

Purpose

RODMENA LIMITED is a digital-first business with a small direct footprint — no premises open to the public, no fleet, no manufacturing. This policy commits us to keeping that footprint small and shrinking it where practical.

Commitments

• Efficient engineering: we design lean software that needs fewer servers — our flagship platform deliberately eliminates redundant infrastructure (no separate queue or cache clusters), which directly reduces energy use per workload.
• Hosting: we favour energy-efficient infrastructure and providers with credible renewable-energy commitments when procuring hosting.
• Travel: we work remotely by default and prefer video calls to travel; where travel is needed we prefer rail over air within Great Britain.
• Equipment: hardware is kept in service as long as practical, then reused or recycled through WEEE-compliant routes.
• Waste and energy: we minimise printing, use energy-efficient equipment, and switch things off.

Carbon reduction

Our Carbon Reduction Plan publishes our approach and will publish measured baseline emissions as they are established.

Review

The Director owns this policy and reviews it at least annually.
